Thurgood Marshall Legal Society presents Southern Comfort: Chicken & Waffles Fundraiser. On Tuesday October 14th, TMLS will be in the Susman Godfrey Atrium selling southern style breakfast from 12:00 pm – 2:30pm. This year, TMLS is offering a choice of Chicken with Belgian Waffles for $7 per plate and Chicken and Red Velvet or Pumpkin Waffles for $8 per plate. Vegetarians are welcome as well. We are offering Belgian Waffles for $4 per plate or a Red Velvet or Pumpkin Waffle for $5 per plate. The course provides a very basic introduction to meditation and yoga practices that can be performed at one’s desk (no equipment, getting on floor, etc. required). Students should commit to attending all four sessions.

The annual Gardere Mock Trial Tournament will consist of teams competing over the course of 5 weeks in front of local attorneys and judges. The teams will use their knowledge of evidentiary rules and trial skills attained during the Fall Litigation Institute to argue a variety of matters.
