The Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is sponsoring a panel discussion regarding the life of a transactional lawyer. Practicing lawyers will describe the rewards, challenges and opportunities of a career as a business lawyer - these are lawyers who never go to court but work for law firms and companies in many exciting fields such as mergers and acquisitions, real estate, intellectual property, oil and gas, technology, etc. This moderated discussion is an open forum and the participants are encouraged to ask as many questions as they would like of the panelists.
Panelists include Christina W. Marshall, General Counsel, Chalak Mitra Group of Companies (Dallas); Carol Bavousett Mattick, Carol Bavousett Mattick PLLC - Corporate and Securities Law For Growing Companies (Austin and San Antonio); and Adriana Lopez-Ortiz, Partner, Richards Rodriguez & Skeith LLP (Austin).
