Multidistrict Litigation makes up more than half of the federal civil docket, yet manages to fly under many students’ radar. Nearly one thousand cases alleging that Suboxone film, a treatment for opioid dependency, is defective have been consolidated for pretrial coordination in front of Judge Philip Calabrese in the Northern District of Ohio. On March 11, at 9:30 am, Judge Calabrese will be conducting a hearing in the Suboxone MDL in the Eidman Courtroom. Students are welcome to attend!

At noon, following the hearing, Judge Calabrese and lead lawyers on both the plaintiff and defense sides will join a panel discussion moderated by Professor Rave to discuss MDL practice and how students can get involved in this highly specialized, yet increasingly important, litigation practice.
