Texas Law teaching legend Professor David Rabban is coming to Houston for a timely conversation about academic freedom and free speech—the topic of his new book, Academic Freedom: From Professional Norm to First Amendment Right, out now from Harvard University Press.

Come join Prof. Rabban and fellow alumni at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for cocktails and conversation, capped by a talk about the history of academic freedom in the United States, a survey of the case law, and Rabban’s own experience with the American Association of University Professors and the Academic Freedom Alliance. The evening will include remarks and a moderated Q&A led by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher partner, Judge Gregg Costa ’99.

CLE credit available.

Teaching Legends Talks is an initiative from Texas Law, highlighting faculty expertise on the most important issues of the day. We can’t wait to see you in Houston!
