Professor Mullenix spoke to the Federal Bar Association of San Antonio on the topic, "The Proposed Amendments to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23," on January 16, 2002. Professor Mullenix served on an ABA Task Force on Class Actions during the period between 1991-97 when the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules worked on the first round of amendments to Rule 23. This talk reflected additional work by the Advisory Committee in adding two new section to Rule 23: Rule 23(g) and (h), governing appointment of class counsel and attorney fees.
