Speaker and Panelist

Professor Mullenix was a speaker and panelist at the symposium "Cutting Edge Issues in Class Action Litigation," sponsored by the Legal Forum of the University of Chicago Law School on November 1-2, 2002. She spoke on the topic of "The Right to Opt-Out in Class Action Suits," along with panelist Professor Martin Redish of the Northwestern University School of Law. Professor Mullenix addressed the problem of mandatory non-opt class under Rule 23, and the trend towards class action jurisprudence diminishing differences among traditional class categories. Her paper will be published subsequently in the Chicago Legal Forum law review.
