Professor Mullenix was an invited speaker at the Annual Conference on Tort Liability Regimes, sponsored by Munich Re, in Munich on September 25-26, 2006. She spoke on the American Class Action Fairness Act, and the implications of CAFA for the class action resolution of mass tort class actions, and other types of class actions. Her talk also focused on aspects of American federalism and the possibilities for forum shopping inherent in a dual court system that permits removal of cases from state into federal court.
