Speaker and Panelist

Professor Mullenix took part as a speaker and panelist during a two-day conference, "Civil Practice Litigation Techniques in Federal and State Courts," sponsored by the American Law Institute and the American Bar Association, in Charleston, South Carolina on May 31-June 2, 2006. She spoke on emerging problems in class action litigation under Rule 23, with a special emphasis on emerging issues related to the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) of 2005. Professor Mullenix has written extensive commentary on CAFA since its Congressional enactment, with much of this commentary appearing in her National Law Journal column.
