Professor Mullenix spoke on "Asbestos Litigation and Theories of Justice," as part of a symposium, "Perspectives on Asbestos Litigation," sponsored by the Southwestern Law Review of the Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California. Professor Mullenix has written extensively about asbestos litigation as part of her body of work relating to the resolution of mass tort litigation. During 1989-90 Professor Mullenix was a Supreme Court Fellow at the Federal Judicial Center, where she conducted a study of federal resolution of two massive asbestos cases: In re School Asbestos Litigation (E.D. Pa.), and Cimino v. Raymark Industries (E.D. Tex.). In addition, Professor Mullenix worked on the two landmark asbestos cases that led to the Supreme Court decisions in Amchem Prods. v. Windsor (1997) and Ortiz v. Fibreboard (1999).
