Professor Mullenix spoke on the topic of statutory and contractual limitations on class actions, focusing on the Supreme Court's consideration of the Shady Grove Orthopedics appeal and the issue whether federal courts must abide by more restrictive state class action statutes when class actions are filed and then removed from state court into federal court. This presentation was part of the "Complex Litigation Conference," sponsored by the George Washington Law School, Washington D.C. Professor Mullenix's paper will be published in the George Washington Law Review.
