Speaker, "Public Nuisance: The New Sheriff in Town?" Professor Mullenix spoke on the July 2021 New York state amendment of its public nuisance statute to provide a claim against firearms defendants for harms caused to the public through their unreasonable action swith regard to the marketing, manufacture, distribution, and storage  firearms. She also discussed the recent lawsuit filed by Mexico in Masschusetts federal district court suing firearms defendants under publci nuisance theories relating to the trafficking of firearms to drug gangs from the United States into Mexico.
