The Texas Law Resilience Fund was created by generous alumni with the mission of supporting student health and well-being.
Awards are granted at the discretion of the Student Affairs Office and do not need to be repaid. Resilience Fund awards may impact previously awarded financial aid, and is coordinated with the Financial Aid Office. You may be contacted for additional information in connection with this application.
Mental Health Care
The primary purpose of the Resilience Fund is to support mental health. Resilience Fund awards may be used for mental health treatment, therapy, prescriptions and related expenses.
Emergency Expenses
Emergency awards are limited to $500. Typical expenses that may be covered include, but are not limited to:
- Medications/Prescriptions or costs related to medical care
- Safety related needs (i.e. changing a lock on a vehicle or home)
- Replacement of personal belongings due to fire or natural disaster
- Essential expenses because of a hardship related to an emergency situation (i.e. rent, utilities, food)
Applicants may be required to provide documentation that they have applied for support from the University’s Student Emergency Fund. Students who are denied funding from the Student Emergency Fund may still be eligible for the Resilience Fund.
