Reminder for 3Ls planning to sit for the Texas July 2011 Bar Exam: your In-State Application to Take the TX Bar Exam may be timely filed with the Texas Board of Law Examiners (BLE) between today and January 30, 2011. This deadline is strictly enforced. A $150 late fee will apply for all applications filed after January 30 and up to the March 30, 2011 Absolute Postmark Deadline.

Applicants who have not yet filed their Declaration of Intention to Study Law must do so prior to or with their In-State Application.

Oral arguments in Kristin M. Perry, et al. v. Arnold Schwarzenegger, et al. will be heard by a panel of three judges of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Monday, December 6, 2010, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time, noon Central. The panel has given consent for live broadcast of the proceeding and the Law School will make this broadcast available in room 5.206 of the Susman Academic Center in Jones Hall. Refreshments will be available.

The Drawing Board Luncheon is a regular colloquium series designed to permit members of the UT faculty (permanent and visiting) to present projects at an early stage of development. Unlike many colloquia series, here and elsewhere, that are often described as fora for the presentation of "works in progress" but which, in actuality, feature works that are entirely, or substantially, complete, the Drawing Board lives up to its name. This is a forum for faculty members who would like feedback, suggestions, and guidance at a point in time at which they can be made use of.
