    Energy Law Symposium

    The Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, & Energy Law welcomes all students and faculty to attend the 6th Annual Energy Law Symposium at the AT&T Center. Speakers include attorneys from the Texas Legislature, Public Utilities Commission, and local and national law firms.

    Judicial Internships for the Summer

    Judicial internships are open to all students including 1Ls. There are hundreds of summer judicial internship opportunities available throughout the nation. You may be able to receive school credit if you intern for a federal district, federal appellate, or state appellate judge, including receiving three hours of credit for interning at the Texas Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Third Court of Appeals. UT Law students and judicial advisors, will discuss their judicial internship experiences and how they secured their positions. Panelists include Shawna Williams, 3L (Judge Walters, Oregon Supreme Court); Jackie Lynch, 2L (Judge Atlas, U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas); Kelly Whitebread, 2L (Bankruptcy Judge Bohm, U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas); Megan Dagerman, 2L (Judge Alcala, Texas Court of Appeals, First District); Mary Crouter, Assistant Director of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law; and Remi Ratliff, Director of Judicial Programs with the Career Services Office.     Spring 2011 Tuition Due

    PAYMENT IS DUE NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON JANUARY 21.

    Your Spring 2011 registration is not complete until you pay in full (or the first installment) by this deadline. To pay your tuition and fee bill, go to “My Tuition Bill”, or to pay in person, go to the Cashier’s Office in Main Building (Tower), Room 8, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

    Even if your tuition bill is zero ($0.00), you must still confirm your attendance before the payment deadline. Nothing is automatic. Whether you are paying directly, via financial aid, or via a third party (grants, scholarships, Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan, etc.), you must indicate that you will attend and/or arrange for payment. You must do this via the “My Tuition Bill” link prior to 5 p.m. on January 21 or risk cancellation of your course(s).

    To verify your payment was received, go to the “My Tuition Bill” link. When your payment is posted, there will be a message on My Tuition Bill stating that your registration is complete.
