    Book Talk - “Tested: How Twelve Wrongly

    Author Dorothy Budd talks about her book "Tested: How Twelve Wrongly Imprisoned Men Held Onto Hope" with exoneree Christopher Scott.

    About the book: “Tested: How Twelve Wrongly Imprisoned Men Held onto Hope,” by Dorothy Budd and Peyton Budd, explores the lives and stories of twelve men who were wrongly convicted in Dallas County. All the men spent time in prison before the new evidence helped win their release. The book is based on the exonerated men’s personal journeys of hope, forgiveness and redemption as told to the authors in one-on-one interviews.

    About the event: Join author Dorothy Budd and Christopher Scott, one of the men profiled in “Tested,” in a discussion Scott’s story and the implications of wrongful convictions. Tiffany Dowling of the Law School’s Actual Innocence Clinic will moderate.

    DTP 1st Annual VolleyBar Review

    Calling all Journals, Student Organizations, and UT Law Community Members:

    The last bar review in February is the first annual Delta Theta Phi VolleyBar Review: A Charity Fundraiser Volleyball Tournament! Get your team (or teams, if you dare) prepared and register in the atrium until 3PM Thursday, Feb 24. The tournament will be 4-on-4; in the sands of Aussies Grill & Beach Bar; and prizes will be awarded to the winners, best team theme, and select others.

    As for the details: all proceeds from the tournament will go to Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. Entry is $5/person or $20/team of 4, which includes a T-Shirt for each person.
