Whether you are thinking about starting your own practice or planning to work for a firm, come learn the business and practical aspects of succeeding in the new legal market. Attorneys will discuss the nuts and bolts of starting a practice; the technology lawyers need; getting clients, networking, and marketing your practice; law firm economics; and organizing and managing your practice. Additionally, they will talk about their specific practices in civil litigation, family law, criminal law, and business transactions. Panelists include Janet McCullar, Law Office of Janet McCullar; Douglas A. Booth, '92, Law Offices of Douglas A. Booth, P.C.; and Kiele Pace, ’00, The Pace Law Firm, P.C. Additionally, Ian Pittman, ’09, and Leigh Jorgeson, ’09, Jorgeson Pittman, LLP, will discuss their experience of starting a law firm directly out of law school.
