    The Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights invites you to participate in its fall 2011 write-on competition. We are seeking 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls with outstanding writing and editing skills and a demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights.

    TX Feb. '12 Bar Exam App Timely Deadline

    Reminder for 3Ls planning to sit for the Texas February 2012 Bar Exam: in order for your In-State Application to Take the TX Bar Exam to be considered timely-filed it must be post-marked by today Aug. 30, 2011. This deadline is strictly enforced. A $150 late fee will apply for all applications filed after Aug. 30 and up to the Oct. 30, 2011 Absolute Postmark Deadline.

    Applicants who have not yet filed their Declaration of Intention to Study Law must do so prior to or with their In-State Application.

    The Student Organization Fair will be held on Wednesday, August 31 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Law School--the Fair allows organizations to advertise and inform law students, especially 1Ls, about their groups.

    EIC, ME Fall, 2011 Meeting

    Food, cokes, and journal folks will be meeting for our Fall EIC/ME meeting for new and prospective EIC’s/ME’s. Food and cokes/drinks will be provided. An updated list of agenda items, handbooks from our printer, nametags, journal contact directories with email, phone, and webpage addresses and all sorts of other filler will be passed out.
