Join us for drinks and food at the American Constitution Society's Fall Happy Hour at Scholz Garten on Thursday, Oct. 13th at 5:30 PM. The American Constitution Society of Law & Policy is one of America's leading progressive legal organizations.

CHLSA will be grilling steak, chicken, and veggie fajitas on site and serving them up with all the fixings in the Atrium to fund scholarships.

Please join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary, MISS REPRESENTATION, for the UT Community at the Student Activity Center on October 19. We will gather at 6 pm for a brief reception (light food to be provided), followed by the moving screening at 6:30, and a brief discussion after the movie with UT professors.

Issues to be discussed include: public school bullying and cyber bullying prohibiting employment discrimination based on sexual orientation; same-sex parents’ names appearing on adopted child’s birth certificate; removing homosexual conduct from the Texas Penal Code; adding gender identity or expression to Texas hate crimes law; and repealing Texas’ constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.

A night of poker and prizes at Buffalo Billiards, to benefit survivors of domestic violence in the Austin area. Event includes a poker tournament and a raffle that continues throughout the night. Doors open at 9pm, the tournament begins at 10pm, and the night concludes at 2am.
