    Movie screening: "Big Men" (2014)

Exclusive screening! TJOGEL, the Energy Center and RMMLF are proud to host the Austin premiere of the award-winning film. #1 film on Metacritic.com. "Astonishing . . . as remarkable for its access as for its refusal to judge. Should the enormous risks and staggering costs of getting to “first oil” guarantee its finder — in this case, a small Texas start-up called Kosmos Energy — a sweetheart deal from the Ghanaian government? Bringing to life a netherworld of shifting agreements and shuffling allegiances, “Big Men” unfurls a complicated story teeming with masked militants, well-fed politicians, reassuring suits and the desperate poor." -- New York Times (3/14)
