    Alumni Association Monday Morning Joe

    On Monday, September 8th, the Texas Law Alumni Association is pleased to announce that it will kick off its Texas Law Monday Morning Joe for all students. Please bring your favorite travel mug from home (we are “going green,” so no paper products will be provided) and enjoy FREE coffee every Monday morning to start off your week on behalf of the Alumni Association.     Thurgood Marshall Legal Society presents Southern Comfort: Chicken & Waffles Fundraiser. On Tuesday October 14th, TMLS will be in the Susman Godfrey Atrium selling southern style breakfast from 12:00 pm – 2:30pm. This year, TMLS is offering a choice of Chicken with Belgian Waffles for $7 per plate and Chicken and Red Velvet or Pumpkin Waffles for $8 per plate. Vegetarians are welcome as well.     BOA Novice Mock Trial Tournament

    The annual Gardere Mock Trial Tournament will consist of teams competing over the course of 5 weeks in front of local attorneys and judges. The teams will use their knowledge of evidentiary rules and trial skills attained during the Fall Litigation Institute to argue a variety of matters.

    Law Preview Exam Workshop

    Thurgood Marshall Legal Society will host an exam workshop for all 1Ls on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in TNH 2.140. This workshop will feature guests from Vinson & Elkins and other distinguished presenters who will provide students with exam strategies including how to effectively manage time during exams, dissect exam fact patterns and questions, and identify and frame relevant issues. Food and Refreshments will be provided. This workshop is open to all members of the class of 2017 regardless of membership in TMLS.
