    The Law, Business and Economics Workshop

    The Law, Business, and Economics Workshop Series serves as an important focal point at the University of Texas for research on the economic analysis of law and business. The workshop generally involves presentations by guests from outside the University community. Students can take the workshop as a course, which focuses on their presentation of written critiques of each of the papers presented in the workshop series.

    Sunflower Ceremony & Commencement 2014

    The 2014 Sunflower Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Jr. Special Events Center. Degree candidates, their families and friends are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class.

    Degree candidates should arrive at the Erwin Center by 2:45 p.m. The dress code for degree candidates is “business attire,” as you would wear in a courtroom.

    40-Hour Basic Mediation training

    This intensive five-day program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to mediate a variety of everyday disputes. This course emphasizes the importance of practical experience in becoming an effective mediator. During frequent role-plays, each participant will mediate a variety of disputes with expert feedback.

    This course is designed to satisfy the 40 classroom hours of training required to mediate court-referred disputes as indicated in the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Act § 154.052, Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code Ann. This course also meets the Texas Mediator Trainers Roundtable's requirements.
