A panel of current and former clerks will share about their experience applying for and working in judicial clerkships. The Texas Law Judicial Clerkship Program team will also provide information on our program and how to begin applying for clerkships. The program is geared towards those looking for 2017-term clerkship, mostly 2Ls, but 3Ls are welcome as well. Lunch will be provided so RSVP on Symplicity by Friday, October 2.

The Center for Women in Law, through the October Power Lunch Series, seeks to provide students with possible role models and mentors by exposing them to prominent women lawyers and other public figures from a wide range of career paths. Representatives from the International Center for Mental Health and Human Rights, a nonprofit based here in Austin, will hold a training at UT Law. The first part of the event will focus on understanding trauma and resiliency in human rights victims, and the second part will be a training on therapeutic interviewing with interactive exercises. The ICMHHR focuses on strengthening communities through the use of innovative therapeutic techniques

Student actors perform their rendition of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as part of a performance and panel discussion. Reception begins at 6:30pm in the Jamil Pavilion. Performance will follow in the Eidman Courtroom. Panel Discussion follows.
