On Monday, February 1, the Texas Law Alumni Association is pleased to announce that it will kick off its Spring 2016 Townes Hall Morning Coffee for all students every Monday morning. Please bring your favorite travel mug from home (we are “going green,” so no paper products will be provided) and enjoy FREE coffee every Monday morning to start off your week on behalf of the Alumni Association. Coffee will be located at one, large station located near the 1L Classrooms (by TNH 2.140, TNH 2.139, etc.) beginning at 8:45 am.

Please join WLC, TMLS, ALSA, and CHLSA for a lunch panel featuring prominent women attorneys discussing the intersectionality of gender and race in the legal profession. Panelists will discuss their different experiences in the profession to create a dialogue about how race, culture, and ethnicity impact these experiences, and what tools can be applied to advance all women.
Lunch will be provided. Special thanks to the Center for Women in Law for sponsoring this event.

The Review of Litigation and Jones Day are hosting a panel on brief writing and oral argument. The panel will discuss the building blocks of a successful brief and an effective oral argument. The discussion will cover the life cycle of an appeal. The panel participants include Professor Lisa Eskow, Justice Scott Field with the Third Court of Appeals, and several practitioners. The panel will have Tiff's Treats and attendees are invited to a Jones Day-sponsored happy hour at Haymaker's immediately after the panel.
