9:15 – 10:45 a.m. A Case Study of Asian Investment in Energy (Natural Gas and Power) The speakers will provide a review of international investment and development of energy projects, using a case study to highlight key legal issues in the development and structuring of projects, regulatory considerations and market issues.

This panel will discuss current international human rights issues and the important impacts of these issues on all aspects of today's international law practice. Topics will include an overview of current international human rights standards, how companies and lawyers can navigate international human rights issues relating to employees and indigenous peoples, an outlook on human rights in the current international immigration environment, and how dispute resolution mechanisms are used to address international human rights issues. The panel will include an introduction to the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at Texas Law.
