The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – what’s Going on in the Oil Patch pertaining to Water Management and Underground Injection Programs

Laura Capper, Principal CAP Resources, discusses findings from her firms’ research and publications related to Oilfield Water Management and Disposal Well Environmental Risk Management in Upstream Oil and Gas.  Topics covered include current practices in water recycling and reuse including opportunities and barriers, the root causes of induced seismic activity, potential impacts of seismicity, regional trends on wells pressuring up, regulatory changes and impacts, potential future impacts on upstream operations, plausible alternatives for SWD disposal, and mitigating practices industry can employ today.
