University of Texas School of Architecture's Community and Regional Planning Program invites you to join them on Friday, April 1, from 12:00-1:30pm CDT for a hybrid in-person/online City Forum with Heather K. Way, clinical professor at The University of Texas School of Law and co-director of the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Center.

In her talk, Professor Way will present on the growing use of two tax tools in Texas that are available through public facility corporations and tax increment financing. Professor Way will share their pitfalls and offer recommendations on how they should be revamped to better serve the affordable housing needs of Texans, provider stronger accountability to taxpayers, and incorporate more equitable practices.

The talk will be held in-person in Goldsmith Hall, room 3.120. Box lunches will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. The talk will also be streamed via Zoom and YouTube (links below).
