    Finding and Funding Human Rights Jobs

    Are you a 1L or 2L who is looking for a summer job involving human rights or social justice? Do you have a summer placement at a human rights organization, but need to find external funding?

    Come to the Rapoport Center’s "Finding and Funding" Human Rights Jobs Info Session on February 5! Rapoport Center staff and former Rapoport Center Summer Fellows will give tips and tricks on finding human rights positions before the summer. The session will also outline the application process for the Rapoport Center’s Summer Fellowship Funding, including the Letelier and Moffitt Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law and the Charles Moyer Human Rights Fellowship (application deadline March 8, 2024).

    Any Texas Law students interested in participating in the write-on competition are invited to attend this information session. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory in order to enroll in the write-on process, which takes place after finals. Members of both Volume 101 (the current Volume) and Volume 102 (the upcoming Volume) of the Texas Law Review will be available to answer any questions and talk about their experiences on TLR.     Internship Open House

    Open House for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 student internships. Interested students can earn 2 credits per semester. The deadline to apply is March 2024.

    Professor Susan Klein invites students interested in an internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Federal Public Defender's Office or the U.S. Army JAG at Ft. Hood to an Internship Open House. Special Guest Matthew Harding, the U.S. Attorney supervising that internship, will be there, and they will both be available to the students to answer questions. Refreshments served.
