    Photographer Brian Birzer will be at the law school for portrait sessions on Monday, August 26, and Wednesday, August 28. Sitting times are available from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Monday and 9:00-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. We will have a professional hair/make-up person on site to assist.

    What to wear? Solid colors or subtle patterns are best. Pastel colors for dress shirts are better than white. Dark grey, navy, and tan jackets are good options and better than solid black.

    Opening Statement How To

    In preparation for the upcoming interscholastic mock trial team tryouts, Professor Mike Golden will hold a 50-minute session on how to do an opening statement. The session will be recorded and posted on the Interscholastic Mock Trial (IMT) Canvas site for those students who are interested but unable to attend in-person.

    Drones, Spies, and Sanctions

    On Wednesday, August 28, the Strauss Center will host Dean Bobby Chesney and Professors Adam Klein and Brian Pérez-Daple to discuss “Drones, Spies, and Sanctions: Getting Involved in National Security Law” with interested law students. Professor Klein will introduce the Strauss Center and its programs, joined by Dean Chesney and Professor Perez-Daple to talk about careers in national security and answer students’ questions in an informal format. They also will discuss how students can be a part of the Strauss Center’s National Security Law Student Fellows program, which provides credentials, networking opportunities, and career support to UT Law students.
