    Pathways - Careers in Finance

    Come hear about legal careers in the financial services industry at our next Pathways event at 12 pm CT on January 15, 2025. The panel will feature CWIL Founding Member Linda Broocks and fellow Kean Miller partner, Carolyn Roch, who will speak about their organization, Southeastern Women in Financial Services, and talk about the opportunities for women lawyers in the areas of banking, securities, and finance. They will also discuss their own paths to becoming trial lawyers who have a specialty in securities litigation, arbitration, and regulatory representation.

    Public Interest Office Hours

    Join the Justice Center’s Student Advisory Board for our monthly Public Interest Office Hours! These sessions are aimed at providing peer support for students who want to learn more about public interest lawyering. This month, members of the Student Advisory Board will be available to answer any questions students have about internships, classes, and more. If you’re a 1L who is not sure where to begin on your public interest journey, this is also for you! Your Student Advisory Board is here to support you in forging that path.     2025 TJOGEL Symposium

    Presented by the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law, the 2025 TJOGEL Symposium is on Thursday, January 23rd and Friday, January 24th.

    This year's symposium will be in a "hybrid" format, with the Symposium being held in person at the Austin Public Library and streamed simultaneously on Zoom. That said, we encourage all participants to join us in person! Registration fees for in-person and Zoom participation are the same. By attending the entirety of the event, you will earn 15 CLE credits, including 3 ethics credits.

    Please check back in for a full schedule and speaker's list. This year's program will feature a diverse range of speakers from all corners of the energy law industry.
