Texas Pro-Life Laws: Are They Working?

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. If in doubt, verify with the web-based events calendar.

Join Law Students for Life for a conversation with Dr. Joe Pojman, President of Texans for Life Coalition and one of the most influential advocates in the development of pro-life legislation in Texas.

Dr. Pojman has spent more than three decades working in public policy and advocacy to protect human life, helping craft many of the laws that shape Texas’s current pro-life legal framework. A former aerospace engineer who worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, he later earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin before dedicating his career to the pro-life movement.

The discussion will examine the legal landscape following the passage of major Texas pro-life laws and ask a key question: are these policies achieving their intended goals? Dr. Pojman will share insights from his experience working at the Texas Capitol, helping draft legislation, and evaluating how the laws operate in practice.

    Lunch will be provided.
