What Comes Next for Abortion Law?

Since the Supreme Court’s decision overruling Roe v. Wade in 2022, states have taken sharply different approaches to abortion. Some, like Texas, have criminalized or heavily restricted the practice, while others, like New York, have expanded access. These differences have significantly shaped availability and raised complex questions about enforcement across state lines.

Join Heather Hacker, Partner at Hacker Stephens LLP and former Texas Assistant Solicitor General, for a discussion of the current legal landscape. The presentation will examine the effectiveness of state abortion laws and explore what these developments signal for the future of abortion law in the United States. Food will be provided.
