In preparation for Fall 2026 interscholastic mock trial team tryouts (scheduled to take place the second week of classes), Professor Mike Golden will hold a 50-minute session on how to do an opening statement. The session will be recorded and posted on the Interscholastic Mock Trial (IMT) Canvas site for those students who are interested but unable to attend in-person. Open to all second- and third-year law students, the FLI is a hands-on crash course designed to allow students of all experience levels to learn new skills or hone existing ones. Students work directly with Texas Law’s interscholastic mock trial coaches and instructors to focus on skills necessary to communicate effectively as a lawyer as well as successfully compete in a mock trial competit

We'll introduce you to the resources and support available to apply to judicial clerkships as well as detailed guidance on the timing of applications and how to begin the application process for 2028-term clerkship positions.
