Join the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, & Energy Law, and the Review of Litigation for a panel discussion featuring transactional and litigation attorneys from Vinson & Elkins, and decide which practice area is right for you. Cabo Bob’s provided.

On Wednesday, September 9, join Strauss Center Director Adam Klein and Texas Law Lecturer Jonathan Lass for a discussion about “Lawyers on the Front Line: How to Get Involved in National Security, Government, and Tech.” The team will introduce the Strauss Center and its programs, share career advice informed by their experiences in the realm of U.S. national security, law, and technology, and answer students’ questions in an informal format

Join us to learn more about Texas Law's flagship journal, the Spring Write-On process, and TLR's 1L fall programming. All 1Ls are encouraged to attend! Food will be provided.

This will be the only 1L info session until the Write-On in the spring.

The Center will host a conversation with Krisi Kastl, founder and CEO of Kastl Law, P.C., accomplished trial lawyer, and former President of the Dallas Bar Association. Join us to hear career insights and lessons learned from a nationally recognized trial lawyer who built a successful law firm, tried nearly 100 cases to jury verdict and has dedicated her career to advocacy, professional leadership, mentorship and community service. Lunch will be served. Approved for 1 Hour of Ethics CLE.

Tryouts to participate on a Texas Law Interscholastic Moot Court Team during the 2026-2027 school year will take place on Tuesday, 9/8 and Wednesday, 9/9, from 3-6 pm both days. Interested in serving the law school community and representing your classmates? SBA is looking for students for 1L, 2L, and LLM representative positions.

Students interested in running for an SBA representative position must attend one Interest Meeting to be eligible to run. Students may attend whichever meeting is most convenient.
