Join us for a conversation with Azadeh Shahshahani as she talks about her work in the U.S. South and support for social movements in the Global South as a movement lawyer. She will discuss the theory of change behind movement lawyering, what movement lawyering looks like in practice, and how to prepare for a career as a movement lawyer during law school.
The event will take place in the Eidman Courtroom (CCJ 2.306) from 11:50 AM to 12:50PM. Lunch will be provided in the Jamail Pavilion immediately following the discussion.
About Azadeh Shashahani and her visit to Texas Law as the Justice Center’s fourteenth G. Rollie White Public Interest Scholar in Residence.
