The term "Islamic law" appears often in headlines and political debates but is rarely explained. Professor Samy Ayoub offers a scholarly introduction to what the tradition actually is, how it works as a system of ethics and religious practice, and how it fits alongside civil legal systems in the U.S. and elsewhere. Bring your questions. All perspectives are welcome.

Specific audiences:
  • Texas Law students
  • Prospective students
  • Faculty

Sponsored by:
