    CSO Study Break

Need to take a break from studying for exams? Stop by the Atrium, visit with the CSO staff, have a snack, and find out about summer and fall interviewing opportunities.

As part of Study Break, the Career Services Office is pleased to announce the 2011 Study Break Public Service Stipend Program. This Program is designed to provide stipends to fund public interest and government internships for a select number of first- and second-year UT Law students. This Program will be funded by donations from sponsors of the 2011 Study Break, a market-conscious modification to this successful annual event.

All law students will have the opportunity to take a break from studying and enjoy snacks and promotional materials, and students who are selected to participate in the Study Break Public Service Stipend Program will receive a stipend to support at least 8 to 10 weeks of work in unpaid legal internships with a government agency or a 501(c)(3) public interest organization. Internships with judicial courts are not eligible.

Students who are interested in participating in the Program must secure an internship with an eligible organization, designate a supervising attorney at that organization, and apply for a place in the Program. Both the value and number of stipends awarded depends on the availability of funding; selection into the Program is expected to be competitive. More information will be available in late March/early April.
