How to Apply for Judicial Clerkships

This is the first of two mandatory meetings for 2Ls and 3Ls who will be applying for judicial clerkships. UT Law Judicial Clerkship Advisors will discuss how to determine what courts you are competitive for, how to select judges, and how and when to apply for clerkships.

3Ls: For those of you who have already applied for clerkships, you do not need to attend this meeting. You should speak to your recommenders by late March to reaffirm their willingness to write letters or seek out new recommenders. You do not need to meet with a clerkship advisor unless you want to. However, you must attend the second mandatory meeting on Thursday, April 12, to learn about the new application process.
