Former federal prosecutor and magistrate judge Robert Pitman will discuss his recent nomination and confirmation as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, his career as a prosecutor, his experience as an “out” gay man working in law, and his reflections on what makes a competitive clerkship applicant.Co-sponsored by OUTLaw, American Constitution Society, and the Career Services Office.

Participating students will have the opportunity to network one-on-one with legal professionals from a variety of practice areas, as well as fellow students, during several short (8-10 minutes) speed networking rounds on March 1. Come learn about the Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program, which provides summer internship opportunities for students pursuing environmental, engineering, science-related, public administration and legal careers. The purpose of the program is to expose students to environmental issues and provide them with opportunities to gain professional experience. Dress is business casual.
