This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the New York legal market as well as network in a casual setting. Dress is business casual.

This is the first of two mandatory meetings for 2Ls and 3Ls who will be applying for judicial clerkships. UT Law Judicial Clerkship Advisors will discuss how to determine what courts you are competitive for, how to select judges, and how and when to apply for clerkships.

Former federal prosecutor and magistrate judge Robert Pitman will discuss his recent nomination and confirmation as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, his career as a prosecutor, his experience as an “out” gay man working in law, and his reflections on what makes a competitive clerkship applicant.Co-sponsored by OUTLAW, American Constitution Society, and the Career Services Office. Lunch will be served.
