    Environmental Law in a Law Firm

    Are you interested in possibly pursuing a career in public service? Come learn about both short-term and long-term strategies for obtaining government and public interest jobs during the summer and/or after graduation.     Judicial Clerkships: Why Valuable

    This program is highly recommended for 2Ls who are considering applying for judicial clerkships as rising 3Ls. Get tips on selecting courts and judges, asking for letters of recommendation, and putting together a strong application. Panelists include Judge Andrew Hanen, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas; Elizabeth Bellows, ’10, former law clerk for Judge Hanen; and Anthony Arguijo, ’11, former law clerk to Judge Edward Prado with the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit as well as Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson, Supreme Court of Texas.     Representatives from dozens of public interest organizations as well as federal and state government agencies will be on hand to answer questions about what they do and how you can assist them. Find out about volunteer opportunities, summer internships and paid positions with a variety of nonprofits, legal services providers and government agencies.     Come learn about opportunities to practice law in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps program, including the internship program. LT Lauren E.
