    Applying for 2017 Judicial Clerkships

    A panel of current and former clerks will share about their experience applying for and working in judicial clerkships. The Texas Law Judicial Clerkship Program team will also provide information on our program and how to begin applying for clerkships. The program is geared towards those looking for 2017-term clerkships, mostly 2Ls, but 3Ls are welcome as well. Lunch will be provided so RSVP on Symplicity by Friday, October 2.

    Postgraduate Public Interest Fellowships

    This program is for all class years: 1L trying to figure out what postgraduate public interest fellowships are, 2Ls navigating the summer employer and potential host organization search and 3Ls committed to applying for fellowships post judicial clerkships. A panel of current and former fellows will address how you should be preparing now to position yourself as a viable candidate for these highly competitive fellowships.

    Panelists include Ian Spechler ‘07, Staff Attorney with Disability Rights Texas and former Skadden Foundation fellow; Erin Gaines ’12, current Equal Justice Works fellow, with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid; and Leah Glowacki, 3L and current postgraduate fellowship applicant.
