    Making Sure You Deliver at Your Firm

    This session covers communication with the various stakeholders a junior associate will encounter in a law firm, from partners to clients to support staff including how expectations differ between partners and associates, and how to customize your communication style to the partner, the client, and your peers, and how to develop beneficial working relationships with the support staff at your firm. Panelists will offer tips and tools for communicating in a professional manner across a diverse and inclusive law firm environment, including a discussion about the role that technology/social media/apps/texting plays in your communications and legal practice.

    Careers in Antitrust Law

    Texas Law presents, in conjunction with the ABA Antitrust Section, a panel discussion about careers in antitrust. It is open to all law students who would like to hear from seasoned practitioners about their experience. This is a great opportunity to meet and learn from lawyers with various perspectives about what it’s like to practice in antitrust. Panelists include James Reeder, Jr (Jones Day); Kim Van Winkle (American Bar Association); Eric Lipman (Uber); and Kelsey Paine (Texas Office of the Attorney General). The program will be moderated by Professor Wickelgren.
