Learn about postgraduate opportunities with Legal Innovators during this virtual information session. Legal Innovators is an alternative legal service provider that hires 3Ls and recent graduates for full-time attorney positions in various locations and creates new pathways into the law firms and corporate legal departments. Legal Innovators works with a range of clients including BigLaw, mid-size firms and corporate legal departments to provide placement, training, mentoring with the objective to launch new attorneys into their careers in law firms or in-house.
In the first year, you will be matched one of our law firms (i.e., American Law 200) or corporate legal department (i.e., Fortune 500) partners based on practice group and geographic preferences and client needs. Our clients have various practice group needs including, but not limited to, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Private Equity, Structured Finance, Litigation, International Arbitration, Insurance, Bankruptcy, and more. You will be integrated into the firm or legal department and will be expected to perform assignments commensurate with a first-year associate at those places. Our partners are fully dedicated to incorporating LI attorneys into their firm and company culture, including access to training, events and mentorship. Prior to starting with a firm or legal department, you will go through an intensive “orientation,” organized by us, and designed to get you ready for the rigors of your first-year practicing law. Once you are placed with the firm or legal department, you will receive ongoing formal and informal training, mentorship and professional coaching. The objective is to launch you into your career in Big Law or in-house and set you up for a success in the industry.
Some of their clients include Locke Lord LLP; Latham & Watkins LLP; Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP; Shearman & Sterling LLP; Gilbert LLP; Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, P.A.; Bechtel Corporation; Mintz, P.C.; Morrison Foerster LLP; Davis Wright Tremaine LLP; and Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP; and more.
