    Society/DF Program Info Meeting

    Dell In-House Counsel Meet & Greet

    Stop by Jamail Pavilion and join members of the Dell Legal Team for lunch and conversation.

    Attorneys with expertise in commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, and litigation will be on hand to discuss opportunities and challenges in the corporate environment, in-house legal work, and general advice for young and soon-to-be lawyers.

    Dell Legal will also be on hand to promote the 3rd Annual Dell Diversity Scholarship, awarded to two rising 2L minority students and/or students of color. Diversity of the applicant may be based on a number of factors that could include race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, economic or educational disadvantage, or identification with a historically under-represented population in the legal profession. Each scholarship consists of an award of $5,000, opportunities for mentorship from a Dell attorney, and a visit to the Dell campus.

    Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows!

    disABILITY Advocate Foundation Training

    The Foundation training is designed to facilitate open conversation and provide an engaging learning environment through interactive activities and discussion. Participants will learn specific strategies to make campus more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities within their role at UT. Each participant will receive a disABILITY Advocate placard that indicates completion of the program and willingness to be an advocate on campus.

    TX and NM Bar Exam Info Session

    The Executive Directors of both the Texas and New Mexico Bar Examiners will discuss the process and format for taking the bar exam in another state and transferring scores into Texas.

    Anyone who is considering taking the UBE this summer and transferring in their score should attend this informative session. Lunch will be served!

    Bar Exam Mini Session

    The bar exam is coming...start prepping now. Three mini sessions will give you a preview of what's to come and help you get ready for your study period. These mini sessions applies to all students; we'll discuss differences between jurisdictions.

    Session 1 (March 24): We'll discuss the the bar exam generally, your study plan, and the different sections of the bar. Session 2 (March 31): Strategies to attack the MBE: The Multistate Bar Exam. 200 questions, multiple choice, 1L subjects + Evidence. Session 3 (April 7): Bar Essay Exams. They're short, they're different, and we'll write some answers in this session. Take a diagnostic and see where you in your bar essay writing skills.
