    Drop-in Support Group

    This group will be led by Dr. Maria Timm, CARE counselor for the School of Law. In this group, we will discuss topics such as coping with isolation, managing online classes/time management/juggling multiple responsibilities, and worries about the future, as well as any other issues that group members may bring up. Please see the Townes Crier or email Dean Bangs for the Zoom link. Below is some information related to confidentiality.

    Confidentiality: While this workshop is led by a mental health professional, this is not a therapy group, and your participation does not mean you are a CMHC client. It is asked that you maintain confidentiality and NOT record the group meeting. Maintaining confidentiality includes the names and identities of other participants as well as other material they may discuss. While the facilitator(s) of this service is/are mental health professionals, they are NOT mandated reporters under Title IX. This means that any information disclosed about sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking would NOT be reported to the Title IX office or any other authority within or outside of UT-Austin. In accordance with Senate Bill 212, CMHC does report such occurrences to the Title IX office, but such a report would not be tied to you or your CMHC records.
