Securing Memory, Truth, Reparation, and Justice for the Disappeared in Argentina (2022)

During the spring 2022 semester, the Clinic prepared a brief to request the reopening of the case related to the enforced disappearance of Alicia Irene “Moni” Naymark Gabe. Moni was kidnapped by the security forces of Argentina in November 1976 and never seen again. Her case was submitted to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, but it never received an individualized decision. The Clinic has been engaged in discussions with the Argentine Government to obtain more information regarding Moni’s fate and whereabouts. The Clinic is also working closely with a lawyer in Argentina representing Moni’s relatives in the domestic criminal case.
