Description
A practical skills course (with classes commencing the week of February 19th to allow orientation to the bankruptcy process for those in Professor Westbrook's class) structured around a hypothetical Chapter 11 reorganization case, with the final session to be a contested (mock-trial format) hearing on confirmation of the debtor's plan of reorganization, with students as attorneys for the various parties. The course will not include a seminar paper, but will require weekly preparation of written product in the nature of memoranda, pleadings, and like materials relating to the case. This 1-hr. workshop is open only to those taking Westbrook's bankruptcy class or those who have taken bankruptcy previously. For those who are simultaneously taking Westbrook's class, the workshop will be separately graded.Instructors
