Placements – Finding a Student

Thank you for your interest in hosting a student intern through the Legislative Internship Program.  Dedicated supervising attorneys are critical to the success of our program, and we hope that you will join us in this educational endeavor.

Most student interns spend 150 hours or more on unpaid law-related work at their field placements, spread over at least ten weeks during the term.  During regular sessions of the Texas Legislature, students have the option of earning additional credit by spending 450 hours (rather than 150) in their internships. All students must be supervised by attorneys with at least two years of experience who have agreed to participate in the internship program.
