Students will help TPS beneficiaries complete applications for Advance Parole, which will allow them to travel abroad and legally re-enter the United States without a visa. TPS is a temporary immigration status provided to nationals of certain countries experiencing problems that make it difficult or unsafe for their nationals to be deported to those countries.
Organization
National Day Laborer Organizing Network
The National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) improves the lives of day laborers, migrants, and low-wage workers. NDLON builds leadership and power among those facing injustice so they can challenge inequality and expand labor, civil, and political rights for all. NDLON is hosting the November 4 Advance Parole Workshop in partnership with the National TPS Alliance. The National TPS Alliance is formed and led by TPS beneficiaries across the United States, combining advocacy efforts at a national level to save Temporary Protected Status for all beneficiaries in the short term and to devise legislation that creates a permanent path to residence in the long term.
