Students will remotely input data collected by student volunteers during observation of Pearsall Immigration Court dockets. Because the Court only hears detained cases, there is little public visibility or oversight. Compiling data gathered during court observation will allow students and attorneys to gain a better understanding of the workings of the Court and will allow for additional analysis of the data that has been collected. Information from the observations includes calendaring delays, judicial demeanor, interpretation issues, and legal representation.
